Description
This paper present some considerations of the experimental and analytical studies which make clear the elastic-plastic behavior of the RC columns encased compact steel skeleton. The experimental and analytical parameters are the existence or non-existence of the compact steel skeleton, the methods of fixing of compact steel skeleton and applied axial load ratios. It is shown that the ductility of the RC columns encased compact steel skeleton on the high axial load control the accumulation of axial strain. The shear strength of such columns obtained by the extended additive strength concept considered trass mechanism and arch mechanism, and compared the experimental results with the analytical results. The RC columns encased compact steel skeleton are the effective structural method to prevent the collapse of the layer at the building.
