In this paper, the restitution characteristics of golf balls colliding with circular plates was simulated by using finite element models, where the materials properties of balls and plates were defined as a three-element visco-elastic model and a linear elastic model, respectively. The validation of the simulation was made by conducting the experiments similar to the simulation. As a result, the coefficient of restitution tends to be higher as the thickness of the plates is getting thin or the rigidity of the plate tends to be stiff.
