Description

This paper shows a resource capacity check method for production scheduling problems in which each task (product) is assignable to resources (equipment). If each task is assigned to a resource in making a production schedule, many backtrack searches occur. Because our method does not assign each task to a resource but a resource group, it is effcient to remove backtrack searches. This paper shows completeness of this method and application to production scheduling problems.
