Description
The degradation of transmission quality is caused by the noise in return channel of a cable-television network which has tree-branch network topology. We observed two types of high level noise. One is the noise which causes burst large BER (Bit Error Rate), the other causes random large BER. Moreover, burst noise made BER degrade remarkably but confirmed us that %ES and %DM didn't degrade very much. On the other hand, random noise made %ES and %DM degrade remarkably. But, if CNR above a certain level could be set, experimental results confirmed us that the enough transmission quality could be gotten.
