Description
The cardiac pacemaker works currently with a battery that should be replaced every few years by surgical operations. For the last decade, several technologies for supplying power and charging up the rechargeable battery through the skin have been developed. Here a novel idea utilizing ultra sonic energy is proposed, because it doesn't give any damage to the electronic circuits of the control system. The fundamental experiment is carried out for the evaluation of feasibility. At present, it is found that the proposed ultra sonic system with 620kHz can supply enough energy for charging up the battery for the cardiac pacemaker.
