Description
This paper describes application of our mathematical model of lateral inhibition to full-color image processing. Our mathematical model covers both ON-center and OFF-center channels following Weber-Fechner's law. We extended this model to cone cells (L, M, S channels) for color perception. So that we can get natural color enhancement for various full-color images. Our model can also give good explains of visual psychological phenomena, such as Mach-band effect and after image effect in color perception.
