Description
This paper studies the enhanced HDLC protocol for the Purpose of decreasing the transmission delay of the message which is transmitted through a data communication network using a satellite. We consider the multiple datalinks connected in series as one Cascaded Link model. A Cascaded Link protocol consists of the terminal protocol and the relay protocol. both protocols are based on HDLC protocol. Through the computer simulation, the results shows Cascaded Link model can decrease the message transmission delay and reduce the buffer memory size in the packet data relay equipment.
