Description
The complex antenna factor (CAF) is an important characteristic of antennas for field measurements. In this report, the structure of a receiving dipole antenna, of which CAF is calculable only with the effective length and input impedance of the antenna element, is proposed. The calculated CAF is compared with that measured by the reference antenna method. The values of CAF obtained by the two method are close in the frequency range of 300MHz-3GHz.
