Description

Clarification of autoregulation of the renal blood stream is essential to understand the pathogenic mechanism of renal disorders. Renin granules in the juxtaglomerular apparatus (Goormaghtigh and macula densa) of the kidney and angiotensin I in the blood were quantitatively examined on animals under two kinds of condition, hemorrhagic hypovolemic shock and noradrenaline injection. Fourteen adult rabbits were employed. They were devided into four groups. 30,40 and 50ml of the blood were removed from each of the animal group I, II and III, respectively. The group IV was given 1 ml of noradrenaline injection. Nephrectomies on all of the animals were performed. The kidneys were examined by a light microscope. Angiotensin I was analysed upon the animal groups at the same time.
