Description

Old style Data Flow Diagram(DFD) specify an exchange between each processes. There is no restriction in specifying DFD, so that we could not see data streams in DFD. Also, DFD can not specify execution steps. We propose to restrict data flow and specify DFD structured. We treat an exchange between data source/sink and process in the structured DFD as an event trace. And propose to specify structured DFD with event trace. We present algorism to translate DFD to structured DFD with event trace. Farther, we present a design method which specify system in structured DFD step by step. Thus, we show that even complex system can be specified in structured DFD at logical level.
