Description

This paper introduces a network-based system named Kindigi Reader, which is built upon Kindai Digital Library. Kindai Digital Library has over 350,000 documents published after Meiji era and is the largest digital collection in Japan. Kindigi Reader offers a series of features that realizes so-called "social reading" on those documents. The ultimate goal of Kindigi Reader is to provide facilities for historians to discover and make use of valuable historical resources available on Kindai Digital Library.
