Description
Towards the realization of a user friendly multimodal interface, emotion analysis is under going. So far, one of the authors has reported the effectiveness of EEG(Electroencephalogram) measurement. Authors began emotion analysis of speech of which extention is the emotion analysis combining EEG and speech analysis. In this paper, emotion analysis on speech is reported. We have attempted an acoustic analysis of phrases uttered with 5 emotion types and conducted a perceptual experiment where subjects were told to identify emotion types. Succeedingly, SD(Semantic Differential) method experiment was conducted in order to define subjects' mental images for each emotion types.
