Description

On March 1993 we NTT, Software laboratories reconstructed LAN with structured wiring when we moved to our new building. Before the moving, we used LAN with 10Base/5. There were some problems in points of operation, management, wiring scalability and trouble detecting. We also have telepohne wiring in addition to LAN so that we have complex wiring. To resolve those problems, we use LAN with structured wiring after the moving and integrate the LAN wiring with telephone wiring to realize easy wiring. In this paper we describe our structured wiring system, our operation and our issues.
