Description
In general, when image interpolation problems are considered as the filtering processes, we must design the filters that eliminate the imaging components that occurred by upsampling process. In this paper, we propose the design method of 2-D FIR filters for image interpolation.First, we explain the frequency characteristics that are desirable for 2-D interpolation filters.Secondly, the constraints in the spatial damain are shown for preservation of the value of the signal before interpolation. At last, by taking the above conditions both in the frequency and the spatial domain as the constraints of Linear Programming method, the filter design problem is solved.
