Description
Reduction methods of sounds generated from home rice polisher have been studied. The characteristics of polishing sound are investigated by measurements of sound and vibration. From results of measurements, the mechanism of the sound becomes evident and reduction methods are carried out. Reduction effects are as follows. (1) The main vibration source, element of rice polishing, is isolated from bottom plate, hopper and case. (2) Sound radiated from case is prevented by abatement of opening. Sounds generated by vibration of polisher elements and radiated from case are reduced by these methods. Effects of reduction methods show that the sound pressure level becomes low 72dBC to 62dBC.
