Description

In 2006 Kintetsu Railcar Engineering Co., Ltd has developed a "GPS Train Navigation" as a drive supporting system, which alerts the driver to stop at the stations and warns the excessive speed. This device is adopted in Kintetsu and then introduced to West Japan Railway and other railway operators. Based on this technology we introduce here a new train navigation system using a the new dedicated equipment a tablet-type device, with the aim of reducing the size, the weight and the cost and with the purpose of enhancing the functions such as a quick acquisition of the earthquake warning and a timetable display.
