Description
A novel complementary charge pump voltage booster circuit has been proposed, which is available for EEPROM, LCD driver and others. By simple analysis and experimentation using discrete devices, a proposed circuit was compared with a conventional one. As the result, the proposed circuit showed it can charge up in shorter time for capacitive load and supply a higher voltage with smaller ripples for resistive or leaky load. A computer simulation was applied to a multi-stage charge pump voltage booster using MOS diodes. The result also shows an advantage of the proposed one even in taking care of the real estate, because of smaller ripples.
