Description
The performance estmation of a target system early in the design stage is very important in the design of mixed hardware/software systems. In this paper, we focus on software performance estimation, including both the excution time and the code size. We present two estimation methods at defferent levels of abstraction for use in the POLIS hardware/software codesign system. The experimental results show that the accuracy of proposed methods is usually within +/-20%.
