Description
Regarding the transient stability problem in electric power system, study of swing equation of multi-machine system has been pursued for long time. However, there is no report explaining a global structure of basins of attractors. In this paper 6-dimensional autonomous swing equation system describing the three-machine infinite bus system is derived. By taking the cross section of the basins, the relation between each equilibrium and basin boundary is examined and taken in consideration whether the basin boundary is fractal.
