Description
The series resonant DC-DC converter with auxiliary switches has advantages to keep the power efficiency high for the relatively wide range of the load and to prevent the extremely lowering of the switching frequency which is caused by the decrease of the load current. This paper deals with the design-oriented analysis on the power stage and control circuit of the full-bridge type series resonant DC-DC converter with auxiliary switches. Taking account of the forward voltage drops and loss resistances of the main switches, auxiliary switches and diodes, and the winding series resistances of the transformer, the circuit operation and the output characteristics are examined.
