Description
An interference canceller combining adaptive array and MLSE that can obtain path diversity gain at low C/I is porposed. Adaptive array of the canceller gets a desired signal and certain time delayed ISI (Inter Symbol Interference) simultaneously, because new training signal and data sampling timing in training period are employed. Terefore, the canceller shows path diversity gain using MLSE (maximum-likelihood sequence estimation). Average BER (Bit Error Rate) characteristics of the Canceller in quasi-static Rayleigh fading channel that has ISI and CCI (Co-Channel Interference) is calculated by computer simulation. The results show that the interferences were reduced and that path diversity gain was obtained at low C/I.
