Description
FreeSurfer is noticed as a tool for detailed analysis of the brain forms images. However, analysis results are affected by quality of analysis object image. We investigated as to whether possible to improve the analysis results in this study, in the analysis of an image captured by a relatively low 3D-SPGR (3D T1 weighted images) sequence contrast of the white matter and cortex, and by optimum threshold setting using the SPM (Statistical Parametric Mapping). By comparing the standard FreeSurfer analysis results and analysis results by the proposed method, analysis success rate improvement of dementia patients and healthy example has been shown in the proposed method.
