Description
This paper deals with experimental and theoretical investigations into errors of EMI measurements associated with the use of an LPDA. First, directivity measurements reveal that a conventional LPDA designed for immunity measurements has a considerably different pattern from other LPDAs for EMI measurements. Then, the moment method is employed to identify active dipoles and analyze variation of their locations. Finally, practical measurements and computer simulations are carried out to evaluate the errors attributed to the differences in antenna patterns and antenna positioning.
