Our former experiment suggested that the speed of mirror drawing test (M.D.) changed according to the aging. This experiment was designed to make it clear what kind of relation between the speed of M. D. and the aging is, on the one hand and the relation between the speed of M.D. and autonomic reactivity manifested by plethysmograph is, on the other hand. 196 volunteers from the 3 rd to the 7 th decade in inhabitants of given suburban district were employed for this study. Each subject performed ten times of M. D. limited in one minute with intertrial interval of oneminute, while the recording of plethysmograph was continued throughout the experiment. The speed of M. D. was expressed by number of section in ten sections of a pentacle-figure tracing within one minute and the amplitude of plethysmogram was measured at each trial, e.g, before instruction (preexperimental), after instruction (A. I), before each trancing of the times of M. D. (prestimulus), after the last M. D. (post-experimental). Nonparametric statistics was used to the data-analysis. The results were as follows, l) the speed of M. D. in the forties distinctly declined and dramatically in the fifties. There was no difference between male and female in these changes of the M.D. 2) the positive correlation between the speed of M. D. and vasomotor response was found only in th twenties. 3) the vasomotor response over the forties diminished.
