Description
Directional characteristics have been studied for the ultrasonic transducers reported in the previous paper (Japan. J. appl. Phys. 9 (1970) 235). Their experimental directional characteristics are in good agreement with theoretical ones. The sound pressure produced by each transducer is in good agreement with that calculated from the theoretical directional characteristics and the experimental efficiency. Also a simple theoretical method is presented which permits a rough estimation of the directional characteristics of the transducers.
