Description
An optical multiple access network using wavelength division multiplexing (WDM) and subcarrier multiplexing (SCM) is promising to construct a broadband and highly transparent multimedia network. In this report, subjects led by applying WDM to SCM have been studied for maximizing network throughput. As a result, it has been clarified that employing an AWG wavelength demultiplexer in an optical signal selecting block and QPSK subcarrier modulation enables to realize 300Gbps-throughput network. Furthermore, optical signal tracking method using a tunable optical filter has been studied.
