Abstract

The Tsukuba Research Group for the Digital Humanities is a research group that was started by members of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences and the Faculty of Library, Information and Media Science. This paper will discuss approaches to the digital humanities through the collaboration of scholars in the humanities and in library and information science, who have views from opposite ends of the spectrum regarding data and what it should be. The discussion will include a report of the activities of this research group to date.
