Description

Gas chromatographic separation of a number of N-trifluoroacetyl methyl esters of amino acids was investigated using dual column programmed temperature technique.
Fifteen amino acids, alanine, valine, glycine, leucine, proline, aspartic acid, threonine, serine, methionine, glutamic acid, phenylalanine, hydroxyproline, lysine, tyrosine and tryptophan, can be separated on the column of 1% NGS and 1.5% SE-30 connected in series within 50 minutes.
The author is deeply indebted to Prof. E. Ochiai for his encoruagement. He also thanks Mr. M. Matsui and Mr. Y. Honma for their assistance in this studies.
