抄録

Glycolipids from human kidney were methylated and subjected to gas chromato-graphy. The Results indicate that the struc-tures are:
1. The cerebroside sulfuric ester (CSE) is galactocerebroside-3'-sulfate, similar to that of brain CSE.
2. Ceramide dihexoside (CDH) is a mixture of galactosyl (1→4) galactosyl ceramide and galactosyl (1→4) glucosyl (lactosyl) ceramide. The latter is similar to the CDH from human cancer tissue (Cytolipin H), human erythrocytes and bovine spleen.
3. Ceramide trihexoside (CTH) is galactosyl (1→4) galactosyl (1→4) glucosyl ceramide.
The authors indebted to Dr. M. Tomoda of Kyoritsu Pharmaceutical College for the authentic sample of 2, 3, 6-tri-O-methylgalactose.
