Abstract
A 53-year-old woman was refered for further evaluation of a polypoid lesion in the 2nd part of the duodenum. An upper GI barium contrast X-ray series revealed a smooth, string-shaped tumor originating in the 2nd part of the duodenum. Endoscopy showed a long lesion covered by normal appearing duodenal muscosa. Endoscopy polypectomy was performed with electro coagulation. The resected tumor was 22X14X10 mm in size. Histological evaluation revealed that tumor was composed of proliferation of Brunner's gland with small vessels and fat tissue. We considered this case was a duodenal harmatoma.
