Description
The Super Database computer SDC-II is a backend type SQL server to execute relational database queries rapidly. It is constructed from tightly coupled multi-processor modules connected by a highly functional Omega network. Each module has 4 disk drives, 2 data network interfaces, and a maximum of 7 CPUs. In this paper, we describe a performance evaluation of Parallel Join processing on SDC-II. First, We show the architecture of SDC-II, then we show the system software structure of SDC-II. We describe a implementation method of parallel join processing on SDC-II. Finally, we show a performance evaluation results on pilot system of SDC-II.
