Abstract
This paper proposes a reactive multimodal mail tool which can respond quickly to speech, pointing and key-typing. We define a mail processing language, each sentence of which corresponds to the smaalest unit of mail operations such as searching, selecting, replying and forwarding. The tool transfers multimodal inputs to a sentence of the language synchronously on a word-by-word basis. Immediately after the completion of the sentence construction, the tool starts to process the operation. Confirming the results at an early stage on the way of inputs, the users can achieve their tasks efficiently.
