Description
This paper describes a high quality VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) systems over high speed radio communication. These systems utilize a super-wideband speech codec which operates at the sampling rate of 22.05kHz and more, and the bit rate of 48k-64kbit/s. This exhibit consists of VoIP systems with smartphones over the wireless LAN (IEEE802.11b) and with laptop PCs over HSDPA (High Speed Downlink Packet Access) and UDI (Unrestricted Digital Information) channels of the 3^<rd> generation mobile communication. The systems provide users with much more comfortable listening environment and more presence than conventional narrowband phone calls. They are applicable to premise IP-Telephony and conference call. Further more, they are also applicable to the phone-call on mobile terminals over the next generation mobile communication.
