Description

We have tackled realization of service mobility, which enables us not only to migrate with our terminals from one network to another but also to change the terminal itself. The most important technical issue which limits the ability of service mobility is how to define the continuous "service". The previous works about service mobility take the approach using flexible destination addresses. And, the address is resolved into the appropriate teminal through routers or proxies. In contrast, our service mobility introduces user's control terminal and the secure negotiation channel between them instead of flexible destination address. From the perspective of communication abstraction, the previous works are destination address abstraction and our work is channel abstraction. This abstraction scheme is based on the end-to-end argument and enables us to realize flexible communication service with awareness of communication peer.
