Abstract
One of the advantages of direct sequence spread spectrum (DS/SS) techniques is the capability of bandwidth sharing with conventional narrow-band communication systems. On the other hand, the narrow band systems can cause intolerable narrow-band interference,and thus we have to suppress the interference. In this paper, we propose a novel narrow-band interference suppression scheme in DS/SS communication systems using wavelet packets. It is expected that the proposed scheme is effective to suppress not only narrow-band interference but also burst interference and pulse interference exactly.
