Abstract
we have studied the problem of coverage and connectivity of Wireless Sensor Network (WSN). In most of the cases, WSN is a multi-hop network in which a packet may have to traverse multiple consecutive wireless links in order to reach its destination. So, it is very important to maintain the connectivity of the network. Therefore the challenge of connecting a disconnected network has immense importance. In this work, we have presented a novel algorithm of sensor deployment for healing a disconnected sensor network i.e. to re-establish connectivity in the network. We also have identified the positions of the new sensor nodes where they are to be deployed. Finally, the complexity of our proposed algorithm is analysed which is followed by the scope of future work.
