Internet Society (ISOC) は，インターネットの普及推進を目的に 1992 年に設立された非営利組織である．現在， "The Internet is for everyone" をビジョンに掲げ，国際的な活動を継続している．昨今，インターネットに関し，政治的，技術的に種々の課題が発生しており， ISOC としても，インターネットガバナンスへの積極的な関与，インターネットの継続的発展を支えるため， DNSSEC， IPv6 等各種技術の普及推進などを実施している． ISOC 日本支部も， 2012 年 8 月に正式な支部として再登録され，活動を再開している． ISOC は，会員組織であり，誰でも参加可能である． ISOC の活動に参加，協力をお願いしたい．Internet Society (ISOC) is a non-profit international organization established in 1992. The purpose of this organization is healthy deployment of the Internet, and its vision is "The Internet is for everyone". Recently there are many issues related the Internet including political and technical problems. ISOC has been tackling for these issues by involving the Internet governance issues, aggressively, promoting to deploy necessary technologies such as DNNSEC and IPv6. ISOC Japan chapter has rejuvenated in August 2012, and has been activating its activities. ISOC is member-based organization, and everyone can join and act as a member. Please join us and help our activities.
