Methyl isocrotonate derivatives prepared from various 1, 2-ethylenediamines, o-phenylenediamines, 2-aminoethanols OF o-aminophenols with dimethyl acetylenedicarboxylate were easily converted to pyrido[1,2-α]pyrazines, pyrido[1,2-α]quinoxalines, pyrido[2,1-c]-1,4-oxazines, pyrido-[2,1-c]-1,4-benzoxazines, respectively, and other cyclization compounds by means of thermal reactions.
