Description
This paper proposes accurate channel estimation method using decision feedback data symbols after soft-decision Turbo decoding in maximum likelihood detection employing QR decomposition and M-algorithm (QRM-MLD) for OFDM MIMO multiplexing. Computer simulation results elucidate that the required average received signal energy per bit-to-noise power spectrum density ratio (E_b/N_0) using proposed method at the average packet error rate of 10^<-2> is reduced by approximately 1.5 dB compared to that with conventional channel estimation using only orthogonal pilot symbols in 4-by-4 MIMO multiplexing employing QPSK modulation and Turbo coding with the channel coding rate of 3/4 (12-path Rayleigh fading channel, root mean squared delay spread of 0.26μsec, maximum Doppler frequency of 10 Hz).
