Description
An electro-static focus & deflection common electrodes type of flat CRT that uses line heated cathodes is proposed. The main feature of its structure is that one pair of electrodes are used for the vertical focus and the vertical deflection, and another pair of electrodes are used for the horizontal focus and the horizontal deflection. The experiments were conducted the various characteristics and displayed an image of monochrome with 9segments in demountable vacuum chamber. Moreover, this paper presents the basic configuration of the flat CRT, the principles of operation and the characteristics.
