Description

In this paper, we deal with an initial carrier frequency acquisition method which is suitable for an M-ary spread-spectrum (M-ary/SS) communication scheme. The amplitude patterns of output levels correspond to the value of carrier frequency offset when the particular Hadamard-code is transmitted. Using this characteristics, we can estimate the value of carrier frequency offset. We evaluate the effectiveness of this method in terms of mean acquisition time and estimated error probability.
