Description
CDMA(Code Division Multiple Access)is expected to support future land mobile communication system.Especially,broadband CDMA with the RAKE receiver may be attractive,since the RAKE receiver will be tolerant to multipath fading environment.This paper presents the theoretical analysis of broadband CDMA in multipath fading environment,which explain the relation between spectrum efficiency and transmitter-receiver system.We deal with spread bandwidth for transmitter implementation and n-tap RAKE receiver for receiver implementaiton.Most important idea on analysis is that faded signal power at receiver can be devided in two elements:average power and power fluctuation.Spectrum efficiency is indicated by these two elements.By the use of this representation,unified explanation of broadband CDMA is obtained.
