Abstract

Various kind of management protocolos are used in the multimedia networks. We propose network management system development method using component oriented architecture, and attempt to define the access interface which enables the swame component to handle various kind of management protocols. We have defined protocol-independent data access interface based on Collection concept and restriction information. With the Java implementation of this interface, we could handle both ASN. 1 and XML data. This shows that differences of original API can be successfully hidden. The same editing component which adopts this interface can also handle these commonly.
