Distribution and Heterogeneity of Antibodies in γ-Globulins of an Individual Rabbit

抄録

1) The immune γ-globulin obtained from a single rabbit which was immunized with bacterial amylase (BA) and Taka-amylase A (TAA) was separated into three subfractions by CM-cellulose chromatography.
2) The difference in the relative chro-matographic distribution of anti-BA and anti-TAA were found.
3) The inhibiting anti-TAA antibody contained in the 0.1 M-B fraction are ap-parently a different kind of antibody from that contained in the 0.5M fraction, though both of which have the inhibiting activity to amylase activity of TAA. And the hetroge-neity of anti-BA antibody is also demonstrated.
4) The inhibiting anti-TAA antibody contained in the 0.5M fraction is the antibody against an antigenic determinant which is closely related to the enzymatically active site of the TAA molecule, or against the enzymatically active site itself.
5) The amino acid compositions of the fraction I of the 0.1 M-B and fraction II of the 0.5M fraction were analysed.
