Description
1. The photochemical reaction of adenine in the presence of riboflavin was carried out and its nature was discussed.<br> 2. Hypoxanthine was obtained as a photo-product of this reaction, although yield of the product was extremely low.<br> 3. The rate of degradation of adenine in this reaction was enhanced by the presence of thymine.<br> The authors wish to thank Matushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd., for the supply of fluorescent cadmium borate.
