Abstract In order to elucidate peculiar conductive properties of Landau electrons at GaAsAlGaAs interfaces, scattering by impurities apart from the 2DEG is investigated, based on the self-consistent screening model. Therein the broadening of Landau subbands and the RPA screening function are calculated consistently. It is shown that the model works effective in this system. Analytical as well as numerical solutions are discussed.
