Hyperfine interaction of 156Gd in Tb(Zn1-xCux)

Abstract The time integral γ-γ perturbed angular correlation has been measured on 156 Gd nuclei in TbZn 1- x Cu x compounds. 156 Gd nuclei were obtained from the β − decay of 156 Tb produced by bombardment with 60 MeV photons through (γ, 3n) nuclear reaction. The hyperfine field at Gd nuclei at 77 K were (-177±26), (-106±31) and (-26.9±38.5) kOe for TbZn, TbZn 0.64 Cu 0.36 and TbZn 0.54 Cu 0.46 , respectively.
