SUMMARYA waveguide type optical frequency comb (WG-OFC) generator was developed at 1 . 5 ii mwavelength region by utilizing a waveguide type phase modulator. It was confirmed that theenvelope of sidebands spectrum had a width of 4.3THz. For further expansion of this span of theOFC, a multiplex optical frequency comb generation system was assembled, , and modulationsidebands were generated for a span as wide as 1 OTHz.
