<jats:title>Abstract</jats:title><jats:p>The spectra indicate that ultrafine α‐FeOOH‐particles transform into α‐Fe2O3‐like particles after vacuum heating at 573 and 773 K. The water adsorption isotherms on α‐FeOOH dispersed ACF are of type V. The isotherms are analyzed by use of the Dubinin‐Serpinsky equation.</jats:p>
