Dual Band SIW Cavity-Backed Crossed-Slot Antenna

In this paper, a dual band substrate integrated waveguide (SIW) cavity-backed crossed-slot antenna is proposed. The SIW cavity has two electric walls and two magnetic walls. The two slots of its crossed slot offer different resonant frequencies and different linear polarizations due to their different lengths. The measured dual band SIW cavity-backed crossed-slot antenna radiates at 2.47 GHz and 3.59 GHz. The bandwidths at 2.47 GHz and 3.59 GHz are 0.486% and 0.780% respectively. The measured gains are 8.28 dBi and 7.38 dBi at 2.45 GHz and 3.59 GHz respectively.
